Canada Goose: several flocks: Superior WI
American Black Duck: 1: Superior WI
Mallard: common: Superior WI; 1 pair: Duluth corner of lake near Canal Park Inn
Bufflehead: 2 females 1 male: Two Harbors
Common Goldeneye: common: Superior Spit; several: Two Harbors
Red-breasted Merganser: 1 female: Superior Inlet; 2 females: Two Harbors
Spruce Grouse: 1: Lake Co. R. 2, 2.5 miles N of Sand River (in thick conifer stand, briefly seen by leader only)
Sharp-tailed Grouse: 1 or 2: Sax / Zim Bog, Correction Line Road (heard only)
Bald Eagle: 3: Superior Spit; 2: Lake Co. Rd. 2
Cooper’s Hawk: 1 female: Duluth, Martin Road (out of season, quite late)
Northern Goshawk: 1 adult: Lake Co. Rd. 2 near Greenwood Lake (brief fly-by seen by leader only)
Red-tailed Hawk: 1: Duluth, St. Louis Bay (seen by leader only before group arrived)
Rough-legged Hawk: 1: Superior Spit; 3: Sax / Zim Bog
Ring-billed Gull: common: Superior Spit & Superior Landfill; 5: Two Harbors; 3: Duluth
Herring Gull: common: Superior Spit & Superior Landfill; several: Two Harbors; several: Duluth
Thayer’s Gull: at least 3 1st basic, 1 2nd basic, 2 adult: Superior Landfill; 1 1st basic: Two Harbors
Kumlien’s Iceland Gull: 1 2nd basic, 1 adult: Superior Landfill
