Leg 5. ANCHORAGE
Enjoy springtime in the Anchorage area. For birding and nature, we will visit Arctic Valley, Earthquake Park, Hood Lake, Kincaid Park, Potter Marsh, Ship Creek and Westchester Lagoon. We will have day excursions to Portage Glacier and Hatcher Pass. We will also have our ear to local announcements of rare birds that show up in spring in the Anchorage area. We are bound to find something rare; we just don’t know what it will be this year. Taking advantage of Alaska “city life”, we can enjoy shopping, the Saturday market and a great choice of good restaurants in Anchorage.
